SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY : – SER ORGANISED 53RD ALL INDIA RAILWAY GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIP

53rd All India Railway Gymnastics Championship was held at BNR Indoor Sports Complex under the aegis of Railway Sports Promotion Board from 28/03/2025 to 30/03/2025 at Garden Reach.
A total number of 63 participants including coach and manager and 40 technical officials including members of Railway Board were present at this meet. Seven Zonal Railways participated in this championship. On inaugural day (28/03/2025), Ms Mahua Verma, Vice president of SERSA/PCPO, SER welcomed all Zonal Railways team at Garden Reach. In her speech, she emphasized on the need of sports for the development of mental and physical ability.
Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway while speaking on the occasion emphasized the contribution of sports towards the society and declared the meet open and invited the contestants to play the game in the best spirit of the game. This was followed by a cultural program and introduction to members of the representating Zonal Railway.
In this contest Ms Pranati Nayek of CLW left a golden impression on the judges.
In the Men’s section, international players like Ashish Kumar of North Central Railway, Ujjwal C Naidu and Satyajit Mondal of South Eastern Railway have performed exceptionally well. South Eastern Railway showing exceptional grit and resilience became the team champion of the competition in Men’s category followed by Northern Railway and North Central Railway. The program concluded on 30th March, 2025 with prize distribution and cultural program.
In the concluding program Shri Soumitra Majumdar, AGM, South Eastern Railway while speaking to the audience present mentioned about the importance of sports in daily life and advocated that the competition should be fierce, but in healthy atmosphere and in true sportsman sprit. He also thanked all the visiting Railway members for successfully completing the tournament.
