Jamshedpur Women’s University :Admissions into all courses in Jamshedpur Women’s University through Chancellor Portal: Students not to confuse.

Students are in a state of confusion regarding admissions into UG and PG courses after the implementation of NEP 2020 this year.
Students who wish to take admission in JWU in general and vocational courses in UG and PG have to apply through Chancellor portal. Application for admissions are going on through Chancellor Portal for the year 2023.
All students have to opt for regular option for admission into UG courses. There is no need yo select Honours subject, rather they have to apply under ‘Regular’ option and then select Major and Minor subjects.
Students should select or opt their major subjects as per their interest. There is no hard separation among subjects now. Students are at liberty to select their subjects of their choice irrespective of the streams. That is a student can opt for a combination of a science, humanities and/or commerce subject.
As per NEP 2020 Four Year Integrated Undergraduate Programme ( FYIUGP) for UG programme has been launched by Jamshedpur Women’s University. JWU has tried it’s best to frame out curriculum as per NEP 2020 for all programmes with the approval of Board of Studies in the year 2022. As per the provision of NEP 2020 four years UG programme has four entry and exit point. A student has the freedom to exit from the programme after completion of first,second,third or fourth year. At every exit student will get certification. After first year certificate, second year diploma, third year degree and fourth year degree with research will be awarded. A student who drops out for personal reason like marriage or financial constraint can continue their degree from the point where she had left and complete the course for the left out years. Even she can continue for the left out years in a different institute of her convenience as per the provision of Academic Bank of Credits. After successful completion of four year degree with research a student can go for one year post graduation and also an eligibility gor research. Meritorious students have an opportunity to pursue different courses in different institutes at the same time.
Students are advised to be aware and understand this new system of education and gain maximum benefit of it. Students are free to consult University employees regarding admissions in person if any sort of confusion arises.
