Jamshedpur News :Tata Steel’s Inter-Divisional Volleyball Men and Throwball Women concludes

Jamshedpur,: Tata Steel Sports Department organised an Inter Divisional Volleyball (Men) and Throwball (Women) Tournament between October 16 to 18 at the Volleyball Ground, JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Chief guest P S S Ganesh, Chief Hot Strip Mill, Tata Steel graced the occasion with Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman, Tata Workers’ Union as Guest of Honour in presence of Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head, Events and Training Centre, Tata Steel.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from total 360 participants from 16 units of Tata Steel.

In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Steel Manufacturing emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas Tata Steel Kalinganagar bagged the runner’s up position. West Bokaro emerged as the 2^nd runner’s up in this tournament.

In women’s category, team of Iron making emerged winner while General Office team was adjudged Runners up. Team of Shared Services was declared as 2^nd runners up.

Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Volleyball and Throwball skills and foster a healthy competition.  Ananto Santara, Supriya Dubey, Rajeshwar Gupta, Sunil Kumar Rai, Hare Ram, Amrik Singh, Ravi Kumar, J Arun Murthy, Rakesh Mahato were the technical officials.
