Jamshedpur: Tata Steel’s Sports Department organised a successful Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament from July 12-14, 2023 , at the Table Tennis training Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Keshari Kumar, Chief Integrated Planning and Services, Tata Steel graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Excellence Centre Jamshedpur, Tata Steel.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 28 teams from 16 Units of Tata Steel. More than 115 players showcased their talent in this year’s competition.
In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from General Office emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas West Bokaro bagged the runner’s up position. Supply Chain emerged as the 2nd runner’s up in this championship.
To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the championship benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Ujjal Chatterjee, Sudhanshu Ranjan, L N Mitra, Vaibhav, Karan Raj and P L Teja who performed their roles admirably.
Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the championship. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their carrom skills and foster a healthy competitive spirit.
