Chief Guests Olympian Ankita Bhagat and Padma Shri Awardee Purnima Mahato Interact with Runners
Jamshedpur,: Tata Steel today inaugurated the Expo for the 10th edition of the Tata Steel Jamshedpur Half Marathon at the Roll Ball Area, JRD Tata Sports Complex. The Expo, being held on November 28–29 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, serves as a prelude to the much-awaited marathon scheduled for November 30.

The event on November 28 was graced by Olympian & Asian Champion Ankita Bhagat and Padma Shri awardee and renowned archery coach Purnima Mahato, who were present as Chief Guests. Also in attendance was Mukul Vinayak Chaudhary, Chief of Sports, adding to the significance of the launch.
During the Expo, registered participants collected their bib and official marathon T-shirts, marking an enthusiastic start to the race week. The two chief guests interacted closely with runners, encouraging them and sharing insights on discipline, preparation, and the growing culture of fitness in Jamshedpur.
A key highlight of the day was an engaging session with the official pacers of the Jamshedpur Half Marathon. Participants had the opportunity to understand pacing strategies, clarify doubts, and connect with the pacers who will guide race-day runners across categories.
The Expo also features various information counters, brand stalls, and route familiarization zones aimed at helping participants gear up for race day with confidence.
The Tata Steel Jamshedpur Half Marathon continues to reinforce the city’s growing commitment to sports, community health, and inclusive participation.
