Ramgarh, Jharkhand:
The passing of former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, has cast a wave of grief across Jharkhand. People from all walks of life are coming forward to remember their beloved leader and pay their last respects.
On Saturday, Tata Steel’s CEO and MD, Mr. T.V. Narendran, visited Guruji’s ancestral residence in Nemra, Ramgarh, to pay heartfelt tribute. During his visit, he met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren, offering condolences in this hour of grief.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narendran said, “We humbly pay our respects to Guruji. His life was a rare example of service, dedication, and goodwill. We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to his soul and give strength to the bereaved family in this difficult time.”
He further noted that Guruji’s political journey was a symbol of Jharkhand’s identity, tribal rights, and the fight for social justice. His simplicity, deep connection with the masses, and political acumen will remain an inspiration for generations to come.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren, visibly moved, remarked that Guruji dedicated every moment of his life to serving Jharkhand and its people. “He was the voice of the poor, farmers, laborers, and marginalized communities,” the CM said, adding that his father’s vision always placed the state’s welfare above everything else. MLA Kalpana Soren described Guruji as not just a political leader, but the head of their family and the soul of Jharkhand.

Villagers, supporters, and local leaders present at the event observed two minutes of silence in his memory and prayed for the peace of his soul. A large number of people attended the gathering, reflecting their deep love and respect for the veteran leader.
Guruji Shibu Soren’s political career was long and impactful. He served multiple terms as Chief Minister and also held the position of Union Minister. His pivotal role in shaping the Jharkhand movement and contributing to the formation of the state remains etched in history. His demise is not just a loss for Jharkhand’s politics but for the nation, which has lost a towering people’s leader.
