The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) has made an exceptional mark at the 53rd Kanwarji Construction Junior Nehru Hockey Tournament, securing the Silver Medal after an impressive unbeaten run through the tournament, before narrowly falling in the final by 3-1.

Adding to the academy’s success, Cadet Patras Hassa was awarded the prestigious Best Defender of the Tournament title, recognizing his outstanding defensive play and leadership on the field. Hassa’s agility, composure under pressure, and game-changing tackles were crucial in keeping the team’s defensive line strong and unyielding throughout the competition.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Gurmeet Singh Rao, Project Director of NTHA, said, “We are extremely proud of our team for their remarkable performance at the 53rd Kanwarji Construction Junior Nehru Hockey Tournament. This achievement comes after U-15 Gold Medal at the Sub-Junior Nehru Tournament. To remain undefeated through the entire tournament up until the finals is a monumental achievement, and we could not be prouder of our young players.
