Jamshedpur: In a major operation, Jamshedpur police have arrested Chandra Bhushan Singh (32), director of Maxizone Touch Pvt. Ltd., and his wife Priyanka Singh (34), accused in a multi-crore investment fraud.
Acting on a tip-off, a special police team intercepted the couple while they were travelling from Delhi to Bhubaneswar on the Tejas Rajdhani Express. They were apprehended early Tuesday morning at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Gomoh Junction, Dhanbad, and later brought to Jamshedpur for questioning. Following a medical examination, both were remanded to judicial custody.
Nationwide Fraud Under Investment Scheme
The case dates back to April 22, 2022, when Telco resident Sushil Kumar Sarapma lodged a complaint at Sakchi police station (Case No. 74/22). The couple allegedly duped investors across the country of hundreds of crores of rupees under the guise of lucrative investment schemes through Maxizone Touch Pvt. Ltd.
Long Criminal Record
Police confirmed that the accused have a long history of fraud and forgery cases, with over 20 FIRs registered against them in Jamshedpur alone. Key cases include:

Police sources said 15–20 more cases are registered against them in different jurisdictions.
Police Team Behind the Arrest
The operation was led by Sakchi Police Station In-Charge Anand Mishra, along with a dedicated team of officers and personnel.
The arrest of the absconding couple is being hailed as a major success for Jamshedpur police, as the duo had been evading authorities since 2022.
