Jamshedpur
A significant meeting was held today at the office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Chakradharpur, between Jan Kalyan Morcha (Aditaypur) and DRM Shri Tarun, following the strong intervention of popular Jamshedpur MP Shri Vidyut Varun Mahto. The discussion focused on long-pending demands related to Aditaypur Railway Station and public welfare.
Key Issues Raised During the Meeting:
Restoration of stoppages for several express trains (including Tata-Patna, Tata-Chhapra, and Alleppey Express) at Aditaypur station, which were discontinued during the COVID-19 period.
Appointment of a permanent doctor at Aditaypur Railway Hospital.
Widening of the road from Patel Chowk to NIT College Gate via the railway tunnel and Path No. 4 to two lanes, to ease passenger movement. Jiada has already recommended approval for this.
Permanent resolution of waterlogging inside the Aditaypur railway tunnel.
NOC demand for constructing an 800-foot road beneath the railway bridge near the riverbank, connecting Kharakai Bridge through Ram Mareya Basti to Chhath Ghat.
Punctual operation of local trains, especially those between Chakradharpur–Chaibasa–Gamharia–Aditaypur–Tatanagar, which are used by thousands of industrial workers.
