Jamshedpur/Seraikela: In a major action against illegal drug trafficking, a joint team of Jamshedpur and Seraikela police conducted a raid near Dobo Bridge and seized around 3 kilograms of illegal ganja and ₹5.19 lakh in cash.
The operation was carried out under the leadership of the City Superintendent of Police, with personnel from Sonari Police Station and Kapali Police Station participating in the joint action.
According to police, information had been received about suspected narcotics-related activities and suspicious financial transactions in the area around Dobo Bridge. Acting on the information, the joint team increased surveillance in the area and subsequently conducted a planned raid.
Ganja and Cash Recovered
During the raid, police recovered approximately 3 kg of ganja along with ₹5,19,000 in cash. The seized items have been taken into police custody and further legal proceedings are underway.
Police are now investigating the source of the cash and examining whether it is linked to illegal narcotics transactions.

The police are also trying to determine where the seized ganja was sourced from and where it was allegedly intended to be supplied.
Investigators are collecting information about individuals potentially connected with the suspected drug supply network. The role of other persons involved in the transportation, distribution or financial transactions related to the seized contraband is also being examined.
Joint Action by Sonari and Kapali Police
The raid was conducted through coordination between Sonari and Kapali police stations and forms part of the ongoing action against illegal narcotics activities in the region.
Police are currently verifying all aspects of the case, including the source of the ganja, the origin of the cash and possible links to a wider drug trafficking network.
Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
