At the heart of Jamshedpur FC’s grassroots operations are its Football Schools in prominent schools of the city, which have enrolled over 350 children across U5, U7, U9, U11 & U13 categories. These schools focus on skill development, enjoyment, and regular playing time, introducing young players to the beautiful game. The club has also extended its grassroots efforts to rural Jharkhand in collaboration with Tata Steel Foundation, providing technical support and coaches’ education.

The Jamshedpur Super League, now in its third edition, is a key component of the club’s grassroots ecosystem. Featuring 70 teams and 628 boys and girls, the league prioritizes participation and skill enhancement. The unique Father’s and Mother’s Division within the league promotes family engagement and football culture in the city.

Jamshedpur FC has also achieved significant success with the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League, the nation’s longest baby league. The league saw participation from 108 teams and 971 children, who played over 11,928 minutes and scored 1,525 goals. The club has produced 40 D-License and grassroots coaches primarily from Jamshedpur, emphasizing its effort to create more mentors for grassroots kids.

Chairman of Jamshedpur FC, Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary expressed pride in the achievement, stating that the award reflects years of planning and execution. “Our team has worked relentlessly to ensure that every child—regardless of gender, background, or ability—has access to football and its values. We thank ISL for recognising this effort and will continue striving to make Jamshedpur a national model for grassroots football.”

The Indian Super League’s acknowledgment reinforces the importance of grassroots football in India’s sporting future. For Jamshedpur FC, this award is both an honour and a responsibility, one that the club is ready to carry forward with even more dedication in the years to come.
