Jamshedpur (Mango): In light of the ongoing heavy rainfall , Deputy Commissioner Karna Satyarthi conducted an on-ground inspection of flood-prone and waterlogged areas in the Mango region , including the coastal zones of the Swarnarekha River and other sensitive localities . He was accompanied by Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar .
Immediate Action for Waterlogging and Drainage Issues
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner:
Reviewed the drainage system in low-lying areas.
Directed that pump sets, tractors, and sanitation workers remain on standby and fully alert for any emergency.
Ordered immediate improvements wherever needed to minimize public inconvenience and prevent flood-like conditions.

DC Satyarthi emphasized:
Regular cleaning of all drains across Mango.
Quick response to complaints related to water accumulation .
Public alertness campaigns in coastal and vulnerable areas.
Activation of a 24×7 control room at Mango Municipal Corporation, with rotational shifts of Paliwar staff .
