Jamshedpur : A delegation of BJP on Saturday met Senior Superintendent of Police (East Singhbhum) Piyush Pandey and expressed concern over the abduction of 24-year-old son of a reputed industrialist of Jamshedpur over ten days ago.
Kairav Gandhi, son of the industrialist Devang Gandhi, was allegedly kidnapped on January 13 and remained traceless even 12 days after the incident.



On Friday, BJP Jharkhand unit President Aditya Sahu had said a delegation of party led by newly elected President of Jamshedpur Mahanagar committee Sanjeev Sinha will meet the SSP in connection with Kairav’s mysterious disappearance today while state leadership would take up the issue with Director General of Police, Jharkhand on January 27 before finalizing future course of action.
Sahu had also said he would apprise the matter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 28 and demand for a CBI probe into it.
Meanwhile, a delegation led Sinha today met SSP and submitted a memorandum demanding to initiate effective and impartial investigation soon for safe recovery of Kairav.
Sinha said the abduction of an young entrepreneur was a matter of concern and raised serious question over prevailing law and order as well as security of general masses of the city.
In such condition, Sinha said police will have to take prompt action to trace Kairav back safely to inculcate the confidence among the masses.
If a concrete action was not taken immediately, BJP will be left with no option but to launch an agitation within democratic framework in the interest of masses, Sinha said.
Party leadership was very serious over the issue and assured that party will stand by the Gandhi family at this difficult time, he said.
A senior police officer on Friday had said that the police investigation was going in right direction but refused to divulge further till the victim was safely rescued and culprits arrested.
Earlier, police had recovered Kairav’s car from Kanderbeda on NH 33 under Chandil police station of neighboring Seraikela-Kharswan district on the same night he was abducted.
A reputed industrialist Devang Gandhi, a resident of Bistupur police station limit here, was the Vice-President of Adityapur Small Industry Association.
