Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Police have successfully solved the theft case reported from Pokhari village under the MGM police station area, where jewellery worth nearly ₹15 lakh was stolen. Rural SP Rishabh Garg officially revealed the breakthrough on Saturday.
The burglary took place during the night of November 29–30, when the family of house owner Mahesh Gaur had gone out to attend a wedding ceremony. Taking advantage of the vacant house, the miscreants broke into the residence and looted gold and silver ornaments along with other valuables.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, the police initiated a detailed investigation using technical analysis, surveillance inputs and confidential information. During the probe, four accused—Sundar Kujur alias Kallu (19) of Shankosai Road No. 5, Rohit Gop (20) of Ekta Nagar, Manish Rai (25) of Mirjadih under Bodam PS, and Bikki Singh (35) of Ulidih Dimna Basti—were arrested.
The investigation confirmed that the burglary was carried out mainly by Sundar Kujur and Rohit Gop. The duo broke open the main door of the house and stole the jewellery stored inside. After committing the theft, they divided the stolen items between themselves.
Police revealed that Sundar had handed over some of the stolen ornaments to Manish Rai for selling them, while one gold chain was sold to accused Bikki Singh for merely ₹10,000. Both Sundar and Rohit have previous criminal records, indicating their involvement in earlier theft cases as well.

At a press briefing, Rural SP Rishabh Garg praised the swift and coordinated efforts of the police team. The breakthrough was achieved through the dedicated work of Patamada DSP Bachandev Kujur, MGM Police Station in-charge Sachin Kumar Das, SI Pradeep Verma, ASI Narendra Bihari Singh, and constable Firoz Alam.
