As a step forward towards fulfilment of the need of the passengers, Railway has decided to introduce a new weekly train services between Jalpaiguri Road & Sealdah. The regular service of 13115/13116 Sealdah – Jalpaiguri Road – Sealdah Humsafar Express will commence from Sealdah with effect from 20.06.2025 and from Jalpaiguri Road with effect from 21.06.2025. This service will not only fulfil the long cherished demand of the locals of adjoining areas but also will clear extra rush of passengers in this highly popular route connecting North Bengal with Sourthern portion of West Bengal. Passengers of Ranaghat, Krishnanagar, Berhampore, Azimganj, Jangipur, Farakka, Malda, Samsi, Kishanganj and New Jalpaiguri area also will be immensely benefitted with this new train service. This enhancement will not only accommodate more passengers but also provide a more comfortable journey peak seasons.
13115 Sealdah – Jalpaiguri Road Humsafar weekly Express will leave Sealdah at 23:40 hrs. on every Friday to reach Jalpaiguri Road at 12:00 hrs. on the next day and 13116 Jalpaiguri Road – Sealdah Humsafar weekly Express will leave Jalpaiguri Road at 20:30 hrs. on every Saturday to reach Sealdah at 08:10 hrs. on the next day. The train will stop at Naihati, Ranaghat, Krishnanagar City jn., Berhampore Court, Azimganj, Jangipur Road, New Farakka, Malda Town, Samsi, Barsoi, Kishanganj, Aluabari Road and New Jalpaiguri stations enroute in both directions. The train will have Sleeper Class and Air Conditioned accommodations.
The run of inaugural special of new train service between Jalpaigur Road & Sealdah has been planned on 14.06.2025. This proposed 03116 Jalpaiguri – Sealdah special (one way) will leave Jalpaiguri Road at 14:00 hrs. to reach Sealdah at 04:00 hrs. on the next day.
Moreover, timings of following three (03) Express trains will be revised at Malda town station (timings of the enroute stations will remain unchanged):
•Sealdah – Malda Town Gour Express will arrive Malda Town at 06:05 hrs. instead of 06:15 hrs. with effect from 20.06.2025.
•13466 Malda Town – Howrah Intercity Express will leave Malda town at 06:10 hrs. instead of 06:05 hrs. with effect form 21.06.2025
•13426 Surat – Malda Town Express (journey commencing on and from 23.06.2025) will arrive Malda town at 06:30 hrs. instead of 05:55 hrs.
