Adityapur Railway Station has received a major boost. South Eastern Railway has approved shifting the terminal of eight trains from Tatanagar to Adityapur Station. In this regard, the railway administration has issued an official notification, marking a significant development for passengers in the region.
Operations Shifted from Tatanagar to Adityapur
According to the new notification, several trains that were earlier originating from and terminating at Tatanagar will now start and end their journeys at Adityapur Station. This move is expected to enhance the importance of Adityapur Station and provide direct convenience to passengers.
Trains Benefiting from Adityapur Terminal
As per the notification issued by South Eastern Railway, the major trains that will now operate from Adityapur include:
Tata–Visakhapatnam–Tata Express
Tata–Dhanbad–Tata Subarnarekha Express
Tata–Asansol–Tata Express
Tata–Hatia–Tata Express
Revised Timings and Effective Dates Announced
The railway administration has also released details regarding the revised arrival and departure timings from Adityapur and the dates from which these changes will come into effect. Minor adjustments of 5 to 10 minutes have been made in the schedules of some trains to ensure smooth operations.
Major Relief for Passengers
This decision will greatly benefit passengers from Adityapur, Gamharia, and nearby areas, as they will no longer need to travel to Tatanagar to board these trains. At the same time, the passenger load at Tatanagar Station is expected to reduce.
Important Step Towards Regional Development
Railway experts believe that making Adityapur a terminal station will not only improve passenger amenities but also strengthen connectivity for the industrial hub of Adityapur. The move is being seen as an important step toward balanced regional development.
The railway has advised passengers to check the revised station and timetable before commencing their journey to avoid any inconvenience.
It has been decided that the terminal of the following trains will be changed from Tatanagar to Adityapur which will be effective as per the following programme:
