Police recovers a highly decomposed body of an abducted 4-year-old girl, suspect rape before murder

 Chaibasa > A highly decomposed of a four-year-old girl, who was abducted four-days ago from Babriya village under naxal-affected Jetiya police station of West Singhbhum district, was recovered from nearby jungle on Wednesday, a senior police officer said. Though the girl was suspected to have raped before murder but Superintendent of Police Indrajeet Mahatha, however, did not confirm it.As far as rape is concerned, we can comment only after receiving post-mortem report, he said.

 25-year-old accused, Ravan Laguri of the same village had abducted the girl when she was playing near her home four-days ago.Failed to trace the girl despite search in all possible places, Dono Topno, the father of the victim girl, has registered a case against Ravan on suspision, police said.

 A group of children of the village, who went to the jungle to graze their cattle, smelt stingy and spotted the decomposed body before they informed villagers, who called police on Wednesday morning.

   A police team went to the spot and recovered the highly decomposed body, which was sent for post-mortem.  Mahatha said a case against Ravan has been registered in this regard   The accused was at large but will be caught soon, Mahatha assured.
