Jamshedpur News :Tata Archery Academy’s Ankita and former cadet Deepika to contest for Gold in Senior National Archery Championship
Jamshedpur: Tata Archery Academy’s (TAA) Ankita Bhakat has earned her place in the prestigious match for Gold medal, where she will compete against former TAA cadet Deepika Kumari tomorrow at the ongoing Senior National (Men & Women) Archery Championship.
The championship is being organised by the Jharkhand Archery Association in collaboration with the Archery Association of India, NTPC and Tata Steel, showcases talent of country’s finest archers.
The elimination rounds in the women’s recurve category began today with 64 skilled archers competing for supremacy. Ankita’s stellar performance marks a highlight for Tata Archery Academy, which saw impressive performances from other academy athletes, including Bhajan Kaur and Komalika Bari, during the elimination stages.
The day also saw the prize distribution for the Indian Round and Compound Archery categories. Shri Arjun Munda, President of the Archery Association of India, graced the ceremony alongside Padma Shri Purnima Mahato, Head Coach of Tata Archery Academy; Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports, Tata Steel; and Hemant Gupta, Head Sports Academies and Adventure Programmes, Tata Steel.
The championship continues to celebrate the spirit of archery, bringing together athletes from across the nation to compete at the highest level. Tata Archery Academy remains proud of its athletes, who consistently demonstrate exceptional skill and determination.
