Jamshedpur – In a move aimed at recognizing employee contributions and fostering healthy industrial relations, the Tata Steel Zoological Society (TSZS) signed a Bonus Agreement with the TSZS Workers Union on Tuesday. The signing took place in the presence of both management representatives and union officials, highlighting the organization’s commitment to employee welfare and cooperation.
As per the newly signed agreement, all eligible employees of the Zoological Society will receive a Performance Reward for the financial year 2024–2025. The reward will be calculated at the rate of 8.33% of the total salary (Basic + VDA) earned during the period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
Key Benefits Under the Agreement:
Minimum ceiling: ₹12,200 (Rupees Twelve Thousand Two Hundred only)
Maximum ceiling: ₹20,250 (Rupees Twenty Thousand Two Hundred Fifty only) for employees who have worked throughout the accounting year.
Special benefit: Employees crossing the maximum ceiling will receive an additional ₹1,000 over and above the performance reward.
On behalf of the TSZS Management, the agreement was signed by Shri Pranay Sinha, Shri Vikas Kumar, Dr. Naim Akhtar, and Dr. M. Palit. Representing the Workers Union, the agreement was signed by Shri Raghunath Pandey (President), along with senior union leaders Shri Dinesh Mahato, Shri Vijay Mukhi, Shri Lalan Kumar, Shri Binod Sharma, Shri Dilip Dey, Shri Pratap Singh Gill, and Shri Sulendra Das.
In total, an amount of ₹4.37 lakh will be distributed among 21 employees of the Tata Steel Zoological Society. The disbursement is expected to be credited directly to employees’ accounts within the next two to three days.
During the event, both the management and union representatives stressed that the agreement is more than just a financial reward. It represents a shared vision for continued collaboration, trust-building, and recognition of the dedicated services provided by employees in the development of the Zoological Society.
The consensus reached between the management and the workers union demonstrates a positive example of industrial harmony, which is vital for ensuring smooth operations and long-term organizational growth.
