In Jamshedpur, Tata Zoological Park has reported the death of 10 black deer, prompting the zoo management to go on high alert. Park Director Naeem Akhtar stated that preliminary investigations indicate the deaths may have been caused by a bacterial infection.

Samples Sent for Laboratory Testing
To determine the exact cause, all necessary diagnostic samples have been sent to a laboratory in Ranchi. The final cause of death will be confirmed once the lab reports are received.
24-Hour Monitoring of Other Animals
Following the incident, the remaining black deer and other animals in the park are under 24-hour monitoring. The director said that immediately after the incident in the herbivore enclosure, the zoo’s veterinary team, the Animal Husbandry Department, and experts from Ranchi Veterinary College began providing urgent medical care.
Park Overseen by Tata Steel
Located in the Bistupur area of Jamshedpur, Tata Zoological Park is a non-governmental zoo managed under the supervision of Tata Steel. The park management assured that the remaining deer are safe, and continuous monitoring is in place to ensure their health and safety.
