Jamshedpur:
This year, Praveen Seva Sansthan, Shri Shri Durga Puja Samiti Adityapur captured the hearts of city residents with its magnificent and unique Durga Puja pandal. The committee earned the No. 1 position in The Times of India’s “Durge Devi Namastute Award 2025”, emerging as the top choice in the city.
The award distribution ceremony was organized at Sreeleathers, Bistupur, where The Times of India editor Bappa Majumdar presented the certificate of merit and memento to Sunil Gupta, press in-charge of the Puja Committee and personal assistant to former Ichagarh MLA Arvind Kumar Singh.
Two Awards in Distinct Categories
The institution secured first position in two categories —
Online Popular Choice (Best Puja Pandal)
Judges’ Choice (Best Theme)
Theme: “The Palace of Udaipur, Rajasthan”
This year’s theme by Praveen Seva Sansthan, “The Palace of Udaipur”, became a major attraction. The pandal not only stood out for its architectural grandeur but also reflected the richness of Indian art and culture, filling the Marwari community with pride.
On this occasion, Arvind Singh alias Malkhan Singh, patron of the committee and former Ichagarh MLA, was specially felicitated with a memento.
Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce President Vijay Anand Moonka attended the ceremony and lauded the committee’s creative concept, saying, “This is a truly unique and inspiring effort that has brought immense pride to the Marwari community.”
Judging Panel
The distinguished panel of judges included Dr. Jai Bhaduri (Child Specialist), Shrikant Nayak (Director, KPS School), and renowned artist Suman Prasad, who evaluated the pandals based on multiple parameters including creativity, execution, and public engagement.
Citywide Campaign by The Times of India
Through its special campaign “Durge Devi Namastute”, The Times of India evaluated various Durga Puja pandals across Jamshedpur on the basis of management, theme, decoration, and community involvement. Praveen Seva Sansthan, Adityapur excelled in all aspects, earning the top honor for 2025.
Committee’s Statement
Committee’s press in-charge Sunil Gupta, close aide of former MLA Arvind Kumar Singh, expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire team.
He said, “This recognition is a reflection of our collective devotion, teamwork, and the blessings of Goddess Durga. We dedicate this award to every devotee who contributed to making our pandal a success.”
